UNESCO, CCP host talk for stude journalists

Dubbed as “KWENTO: News and Feature Story Writing for Young Broadcast Journalists Training”, the event was a project of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) in partnership with the CCP Arts Education Department. Jiggy Manicad’s talk was also livestreamed to student audiences of Aquinas University in Legazpi Albay.

Broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad delivered a talk to high school student journalists at the Tanghalang Huseng Batute of the Cultural Center of the Philippines recently.

Dubbed as “KWENTO: News and Feature Story Writing for Young Broadcast Journalists Training”, the event was a project of the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) in partnership with the CCP Arts Education Department. Manicad’s talk was also livestreamed to student audiences of Aquinas University in Legazpi Albay.

Manicad shared his experiences as a journalist and lectured on producing narrative feature news stories. He gave inputs and comments on the students’ work as well.

Two hundred students from Parañaque, Calabarzon, Binangonan Rizal, Legazpi Albay, Butuan City and the National Student Press Conference participated in the online talk.
