UP Vargas Museum, in cooperation with CANVAS (Center for Art, New Ventures and Sustainable Development), is hosting Perya until July 2 at the 3F Galleries.
Perya showcases the 8th year of CANVAS’ annual “Looking for Juan Banner Show”. This year, the theme directs its focus on the carnival. Aside from being a place of entertainment amidst numerous media platforms, it is also a space where different Filipino values, cultures and sensibilities converge.
The Center for Art, New Ventures and Sustainable Development (CANVAS) promotes greater awareness and appreciation for Philippine art and culture principally through exhibitions and projects that showcases artworks from different contemporary Filipino artists, and the publication of books, prints, and other merchandise that make these artworks more accessible to a broader audience.
