Online education platform MasterClass announced that legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog will teach an online filmmaking class and that pre-enrollment is now open at www.masterclass.com/wh. One of the most influential film directors alive, the Academy Award-nominated director has produced, written, and directed over 70 feature and documentary films.
Herzog’s MasterClass will focus on the art of both feature and documentary filmmaking. Herzog will teach how he captures the scary, beautiful, and spectacular. Lessons include storytelling, financing, leading a crew, cinematography, working with actors, locations, editing, and documentary interview techniques. Pre-enrollment is open to everyone.
In 1961, Herzog made his first film at the age of 19 with a stolen camera.
