Kurit-Lagting, a collective artistic collaboration of Bicolano artists from Sorsogon, Albay, Catanduanes, Masbate and Camarines provinces will hosting a virtual screening of THE STORY OF PLASTIC until June 20, in partnership with Shoot-in-Action Multimedia Solutions Solutions and Quimlat Multimedia  in Sorsogon City as part of their advocacy in educating and engaging the community in environmental awareness and plastic pollution.

THE STORY OF PLASTIC produced by the Story of Stuff project takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it.

“Recycling will never be enough and plastic has caused health and environmental problems  since its invention so we are hosting an online private screening of the Story of Plastic for FREE to inform the public about plastic pollution” acting director of Kurit-Lagting, Geri Matthew Carretero said.

“This documentary is very timely because we are currently experiencing a pandemic with the global outbreak of the COVID-19 disease where the entire population is producing a very big amount of garbage, veritable mountains of trash, rivers and seas clogged with medical wastes, that also fill our skies with the poisonous emissions from plastic production and processing” he added.
