Santa Isabel College Conservatory of Music and SinagTala Management have announced that AMICI – a classical trio composed of voice, violin and piano – is slated to perform at Santa Isabel College in the City of Manila on August 27, at 8:00PM.
AMICI is a newly established group, founded through friendship only in May. It is composed of Tomoyo Kobayashi (piano), Kazuki Yamamoto (violin), and Joseleo Logdat (baritone). Their repertoires vary from classical music pieces to traditional music. This is their first international concert.
Tomoyo Kobayashi was born in Hiroshima, Japan. She graduated from Elizabeth University of Music, receiving her masters degree from the same university. She appeared with The Hiroshima Sympony Orchestra, held solo recitals, and actively collaborates as an accompanist with other artists, including with pianist Elena Kuchenerova. At present, she is studying piano under Miho Shibata, and is currently enrolled in a doctorate program, which she is expected to finish in March next year.
Kobayashi joined different Masterclasses all around Japan and Germany. She is currently teaching in Elisabeth University of Music .
Kazuki Yamamoto was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1990. He graduated from the Elizabeth University of Music. He received the second prize at 18th the Chugoku Youth music competition violin section. He studied violin under Yuko Hasegawa, Masaaki Tanokura, Shizuka Ishikawa, and Maya Kai. He is currently the concert master of the Elizabeth University of Music symphony orchestra since 2011. Also at present, he is taking up Master of Music and is set to graduate in March next year.
Yamamoto is a teaching staff at the Kawai Music School. He is set to tour Europe this march for one month for a series of concerts with one of the orchestras in Japan .
Joseleo Logdat is the 2013 Ani ng Dangal Awardee for Music, and is the Grand Prix Winner of the 6th Yokohama International Music Competition (2012), where he also won First Place in the Professional Voice Category. Currently a scholar in the Master of Music (Voice) program of the Elisabeth University of Music in Hiroshima Japan, he is under the tutelage of Hiroharu Orikawa. He completed his Bachelor of Music Major in Voice (Gold Medal Award for the Performing Arts) from the Santa Isabel College Conservatory of Music, Manila. A Grand Prize winner of the “Mga Awiting Pilipino” Vocal Competition in 2007, his debut performance was with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra performing excerpts from Filipino operas “Takayama Ukon & Spoliarium ” in 2008.
Logdat already worked with the numerous conductors, such as, Kazufumi Yamashita, Hiroyuki Odano, Kyosuke Matsushita, Helen Quach, Oscar Yatco, Chino Toledo, Arturo Molina, Gerard Salonga, Dr. Raul Navarro, Gabby San Pedro-Rojas, and Crisancti Macazo; and sung with various orchestras, including The Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra , Elisabeth University of Music Orchestra, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Metro Manila Community Orchestra, Filharmonica , Angono National Symphonic Band and the Santa Isabel College Chamber Orchestra. He performed in operas, such as Magic Flute (Japan), La Boheme (Philippines), I Pagliacci (Philippines), Spoliarium (Philippines) Mayo Bisperas ng Liwanag (Philippines), and Why Flowers Bloom in May (Philippines). He was recently chosen to be the soloist of the Annual Concert of Elisabeth University of Music and the baritone soloist of the Bach Christmas Oratorio in Hiroshima, Japan. He was also recently invited by the Philippine General Consulate in Japan for their tribute concert for two great Filipino composers, Felipe de Leon and Francisco Santiago, together with Eri Yoshida, Japanese soprano and Dr. Raul Navarro as pianist.
Logdat studied with Victoria Rapanan , Fides Asencio-Cuyugan and a protege of Filipino Bass-baritone Gamaliel Viray. He is associated with Santa Isabel College Conservatory of Music as Faculty for Voice and Music Sciences.
