Outdoor retail giant Bass Pro Shops has announced the addition of another hot camping gadget to its shelves. The PowerPot is now available at Bass Pro – ideal for the outdoor enthusiasts, or for outdoor survival, for that matter.
The PowerPot converts heat into electricity, using thermoelectric technology. It charges smartphones, GPS units and countless other USB devices. The product made headlines with its six-figure Kickstarter campaign last year and has since been making its way into retail outlets all over the world.
The deal with Bass Pro Shops comes after parent company Power Practical announced partnerships with US chains Eastern Mountain Sports and Sportsman’s Warehouse.
Bass Pro specializes in hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor gear in general.
