CCP Arthouse Cinema presents an Ishmael Bernal film screening

Watch one of Philippine Cinema’s classic gems, “PAGDATING SA DULO” by Ishmael Bernal at the CCP Tanghalang Manuel Conde on September 30, 2022 at 2 PM Manila Time.

In celebration of our National Artist for Cinema Ishmael Bernal’s birth month, the CCP Arthouse Cinema presents one of his masterpieces, a film that serves as a social commentary and a bold reflection on the existing realities of the struggles of the Filipino.

Ishmael Bernal’s “PAGDATING SA DULO” is a storytelling of the life of a bourgeois filmmaker who sought out a stripper to act in his film, subsequently catalyzing her career as an actress. It is a journey on how stardom, glamor, and wealth can contribute to the corruption of one’s soul becoming morally conflicted and wounded by the on-screen façade of their love and selves.
