PHYSICAL POSITIONING MATTERS

For one, you have to make sure the room is set out as perfect as possible to get you immersed in your entertainment. Nothing ruins a relaxing binge watching session like being uncomfortable or having a bad view. Set yourself up with a seat that keeps you straight-backed, with your eye level facing the top of the TV without having to crane your head too much. Get of visual distractions between you and the TV like any sources of glare or reflective surfaces. Especially don’t make the easy mistake of positioning it above a fireplace. It’s not just the visual you have to be concerned with, either. Getting a real home theater system means focusing on sound, too.

PRIORITIZING SOUND

First, you absolutely need to get yourself set up with some kind of surround sound system. Nowadays, all kinds of Bluetooth options are able to connect to the other parts of your media system. This means no longer having to deal with wires of setting up hardware that doesn’t play nice with your other devices. The positioning of those speakers matters, too. For one make sure your furniture isn’t blocking any speakers. You might think it’s a great idea to have said speakers behind your couch. Unless it’s raised to the same level as the back of the seat, however, it’s going to compromise the quality of the sound. The best way to set up sound is making an equilateral triangle. Set up two speakers and equal distance from the TV, pointing to you. The triangle should be formed by the two speakers and the viewer. Then put two more speakers an equal distance from your side or slightly behind you.
