Justiniani was a member of ABAY, Grupong Salingpusa and Sanggawa Art Collective. He was conferred distinctions such as the Grand Prize of the 7th Metrobank National Painting Competition in 1990, the Thirteen Artist Grant in 1994, the Malihaw Awardee as the Most Outstanding Victorianon in the Arts in 1997, and the Philippine Representative to the ASEAN Art Awards in 1999.

In the exhibition Reverb, currently on view at the Vargas Museum until May 6, Justiniani explores the different ways of looking, seeing and viewing through monumental installations that have illusory notions of the abyss. The exhibit explores different realities by giving its viewers multi-layered artworks whose ever-changing forms challenge visual and spatial grounding. Thus the exhibit invites us to question what is in front of us, and how the manipulation of specific media justifies this perception.

In his artist talk at the Ateneo Art Gallery, he will talk about his practice, the subjects and ruminations behind his works.

Admission is FREE but limited seats are available. To confirm reservations, contact Ferdie Serrano at (+632) 426 6488 or 4266001 local 4160; or email aag@ateneo.edu.
