MMQ Theatre and Events Group Inc. has announced its partnership with The Rotary Club, Makati North (RCMN) in producing this year’s MMQ’s 7th Annual Le Cabaret Charity Gala, titled Masquerade, coined by the press as “the best little dinner party in town.” This year, MMQ & RCMN are pulling out all the stops featuring a masquerade themed carnival party filled with color, sparkle and masks all around.
This year’s festivities are scheduled for Saturday, September 14, at the Dusit Thani Makati.
For the price of a ticket, French champagne and wines begins to flow at 7:00 PM, followed by a three-course French dinner and, of course, a cabaret masquerade featuring Filipino and other performing artists from around the world.
This year’s beneficiary is “Feed a Child, Save a Nation”, a feeding program that has fed disadvantaged schoolchildren Monday through Friday for the past 25 years. Since 2007, MMQ has donated well over P3,000,000 to women and children’s charities.
MMQ is a multicultural nonprofit arts organization whose mission, unlike any other, is to produce multicultural performing arts and theater, raising monies for women and children’s charities. It is a group of 14 women of all shapes sizes and colors, coming from the Philippines (several provinces, too), along with India, Kenya, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe. Each board member has a performance and events background, whether it be backstage, administrative, or onstage performance. Their mission is to help the Philippines’s children and to treat diverse audiences to fun and thought provoking entertainment for a cause. MMQ partners with organizations, groups and individuals who also like to have a good time and who endeavor to help others who cannot help themselves.
This year’s Le Cabaret features performers from around the world, including host of television’s My Home show Issa Litton; The Drag ONs, a cabaret dance group; and renowned Czech cabaret singer Marnie Hurst. The show is directed by Mimi Carter, with choreography by Ellisa Kamula.
