Are you an artist who has taught children? Have you facilitated workshops for children as part of a project? Do you find satisfaction in sharing the arts with young people, specifically the joy of making objects and realizing creative ideas?
The UP Vargas Museum’s art workshops for children is a program of creative activities for young people interested in the arts. The art workshops will happen at the museum’s basement every Saturday in 2024. The workshops can vary and need not be focused on just drawing and painting, but it is necessary that they immerse participants in creative approaches and material techniques. The workshops have to be planned across three sessions, with skills developed from each two-hour session building up to the next, and so forth. The sessions should also encourage engagement among participants.
Your proposal should include a working title, objectives and outcomes for each session of the workshop, required materials and set-up for the workshop sessions. These are paid workshops, kindly note required fees. There will be subsidized slots given to children of UP employees.
Workshop proponents should preferably be:
- 55 years old and below at the time of application
- Filipinos residing in Metro Manila
- Those who practice art in different mediums
