Special opportunity for visual arts students and independent young artists

The Julian Ongpin Young Artists gallery will be holding a competition for promising young artists hailing from various universities with courses related to the visual arts.

The Julian Ongpin Young Artists gallery will be holding a competition for promising young artists hailing from various universities with courses related to the visual arts.

The award will be given to five winning young artists, to be announced before or on April 15th, 2017. Subsequently, the winners will have a group show in my gallery in May.

The competition and eventual winners will be featured in print publications and the prize winners will be awarded P10,000 each, and a trophy designed by visual artist and photographer Jay Yao Campos III.

Apply before the cut off date, April 1st.

There will be a panel of three judges which will be announced shortly via e-mail and Facebook post on the Julian Ongpin Young Artists page, where students may check.

Applicants should be students or young artists (below 34 years old) without a completed solo show.
