Good Days Gallery joins Gateway Art Fair 2024; celebrates diverse artistry of Quezon Province

Good Days Gallery is participating in this landmark event, which runs from September 26 to 29 at the Quantum Skyview of the New Gateway Mall 2 in Araneta City.

Eyeing to shine a spotlight on the vibrant and diverse talents of Quezon Province, Good Days Gallery is slated to join the Gateway Art Fair 2024, one of the Philippines’ most anticipated art events, from September 26 to 29 at the Quantum Skyview of the New Gateway Mall 2 in Araneta City.

The third iteration of the art fair promises to be the largest yet, featuring 30 exhibitors and over 1,000 artworks under the theme “Live Your Art.”

The artists of Good Days Gallery

Good Days Gallery brings together a lineup of artists whose works “resonate with personal stories, cultural reflections, and philosophical insights as they explore a diverse range of themes, from nature and spirituality to social consciousness and human emotion,” said Aaron Bonete, Gallery Manager of Good Days Gallery.

Who are they?

  • Kevin Pablo: A self-taught oil painter who delves into Taoist philosophy and personal experiences. Kevin’s work merges organic forms with natural elements, inviting viewers to contemplate humanity’s intrinsic connection to the world around them.
  • Jianu: a visual artist from Tayabas, Quezon, balances her work as a graphic designer with her passion for painting in her free time. Her art is inspired by her observations of people and things that intrigue her, often reflecting how she perceives herself through others’ eyes. For Jianu, visual art serves as a medium to express emotions and thoughts that are better conveyed visually than in words.
  • Eva Palma: A multifaceted artist active in both the local art and music scenes of Lucena City. Beyond her visual art, Eva is a dedicated animal welfare advocate, leading initiatives like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for cats.
  • Dae Tolentino: A visual artist from Pagbilao, Quezon, who paints subjects caught between motion and stillness. Dae’s work captures transformative moments that feel like fragments of a daydream, where reality is in constant flux.
  • Jay Mar Valdoria: A contemporary Neo-Expressionist artist known for his deeply evocative and introspective works. Valdoria’s art delves into the complexities of human emotions and social interactions, offering profound explorations of the human psyche through bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes.
  • Jm Satin: A visual artist and writer from Lucena City whose work explores themes of intimacy, queer sexuality, and natural beauty. Using graphite sketches and vibrant colors, Jm captures poignant moments, weaving together layers of paint and lines of poetry.

Looking forward to good days ahead

“Our participation in the Gateway Art Fair is more than just an opportunity to showcase art,” said Bonete. “It’s a platform for Quezon artists to tell their stories and share their perspectives with a broader audience. We aim to bridge their narratives with the wider art community, offering connections that can nurture and grow their careers.”

Co-founder Vera Agustino added: “Good Days Gallery’s contribution to the art fair represents our dedication to fostering the development of Quezon artists. By bringing their unique voices into the mainstream art network, we hope to spotlight the talent and diversity of our province, creating pathways for our artists to thrive in the broader art world.”

Championing Quezon’s artistic stories

Through its participation in Gateway Art Fair 2024, Good Days Gallery aims not just to exhibit art but to champion the stories and perspectives of Quezon Province. This endeavor marks a significant step in the gallery’s mission to provide platforms and opportunities for its artists, contributing to the evolving landscape of Philippine contemporary art.
