‘Joseph the Dreamer’ runs from July 11-20 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium

Joseph the Dreamer draws from the biblical story of Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob. Set on a path of greatness, Joseph faces trials that test his faith. Fueled by jealousy, his brothers sell him into slavery — unaware that this cruel act would lead him on an extraordinary journey of hope and trust.

Joseph the Dreamer is written by Freddie Santos and based on Cam Floria’s cantata Dreamer: What Really Happened to Joseph.

Joseph the Dreamer draws from the biblical story of Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob. Set on a path of greatness, Joseph faces trials that test his faith. Fueled by jealousy, his brothers sell him into slavery — unaware that this cruel act would lead him on an extraordinary journey of hope and trust.

The cast are as follows: Sam Concepcion – Joseph; Gary Valenciano – Jacob; Jordan Andrews – Judah (as well as Joseph in select performances); Carlo Arreglado Orosa and Lorenz Martinez – Pharoah; Kayla Meagan Iovan; Kayla Rivera and Naya Ambi – Asenath; Aicelle Santos and Julia Serad – Rachel.

Reprising their roles as Joseph’s brothers are RJ dela Fuente (Reuben), Matthew Barbers (Simeon), Carlos Canlas (Levi), Paul Valdez (Dan), Jim Ferrer (Naphtali), Renz Bernardo (Gad), and Mateo Jimenez (Benjamin).

New additions include Luis Marcelo (Zebulun), Sam Panlilio (Issachar), and Ken San Jose, who alternates with Jimenez as Benjamin.

Aldo Vencilao also returns as Mr. Potiphar, while Dippy Arceo and Sheena Lee Palad join the cast as Mrs. Potiphar. Clave Sun and Liam Nery will share the roles of Manasseh and Young Joseph.

Rounding out the cast are returning ensemble members Justine Narciso, Coleen Paz, and Kathleen Francisco, with new members Iya Villanueva and Daniel Solis, who also serves as male swing.

Joseph the Dreamer is directed by Paolo Valenciano, with musical arrangements by Myke Salomon and choreography by MJ Arda.

Lorenz Martinez serves as assistant director for the 2025 run.

The show runs from July 11 to 20, 2025, at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza. Tickets are priced at ₱3,850 (Orchestra Center), ₱2,750 (Orchestra Side), ₱2,200 (Loge Center and Loge Side), and ₱1,650 (Balcony), available via Ticket2Me.
