NEW LORE releases new single, ‘LOVING, HURTING’

Built on haunting loops, percussive pulses, and surreal melodies, “LOVING, HURTING” echoes the band’s signature sound: emotional, cinematic, and a little chaotic trippy electropop.

All-girl trio NEW LORE unveils their latest single “LOVING, HURTING”—a vulnerable, synth-soaked anthem for those who feel too much and love even harder. Released under Off The Record and Sony Music Entertainment Philippines, the track dives into the raw space where joy and ache collide.

Built on haunting loops, percussive pulses, and surreal melodies, “LOVING, HURTING” echoes the band’s signature sound: emotional, cinematic, and a little chaotic trippy electropop. At its core is Tita Halaman, a visual artist and vocalist known for turning heartbreak into poetry. Together with Kim Escalona on bass and Carole Lantican on drums, NEW LORE crafts a song that feels like a tear-stained dancefloor confession.

“This one’s for the kind of love that makes you feel full and fragile at the same time,” says Tita. “It’s about choosing to stay—knowing that when you love deeply, you’re always risking grief.”

The release also launches a creative call-to-action for fans to share personal artworks, journal entries, or photographs inspired by the phrase “loving, hurting,” continuing NEW LORE’s vision of building a world where art, music, storytelling, and poetry meet in one emotional landscape.

Formerly known as No Lore, the trio is steadily carving their place in the indie scene, with past releases landing on editorial playlists like Fresh Finds PhilippinesNew Music Friday, “LOVING, HURTING” signals a more daring emotional territory—where synth-pop meets soft rage, and where heartbreak is worn like glitter.

“LOVING, HURTING” is now streaming on all digital platforms.
