Mikee Sarmiento releases second single, ‘Bakit Hindi’

Built on tender vocals and intimate production, the song captures the tension of loving someone deeply while choosing restraint over desperation. Instead of grand declarations, Mikee sits in the quiet question. “Hindi naman nagpupumilit, pero kung ayos lang sayo, bakit hindi.” It’s a love song that doesn’t chase, just gently stays open.

Mikee Sarmiento releases his second single under Off The Record and Sony Music Philippines, “Bakit Hindi”, a soft pop/R&B track that leans into longing without ever forcing it.

Following his debut “Tahan Na,” which introduced his warm, safe-haven sound, Mikee expands into something more vulnerable. Less certainty, more risk. Known for his charm, presence, and emotionally grounded delivery, he continues to build a lane rooted in soft confessionals and cinematic intimacy. The kind of songs you return to late at night when words run out but the feeling stays.

Mikee is part of a new wave of OPM artists redefining what a heartthrob can be. Less about grand gestures, more about emotional timing. He understands restraint in a way that feels rare. When to hold back, when to lean in, and when to let silence carry the weight. With a growing catalog that favors sincerity over spectacle, he’s not trying to be everywhere at once. He’s building something steady, and that’s exactly why he’s worth watching.
