What happens when artists come together to question the rules, challenge expectations, and imagine new possibilities?

More than 300 artists will gather at TOPS, Cebu City for Tops ArtFest 2026, a four-day celebration of art, creativity, and ideas running from October 22 to 25.

This year’s theme, “Building and Breaking Norms,” invites audiences to look at the world around them with fresh eyes. It is about the things we inherit, the traditions and ideas we choose to carry forward, the conventions we dare to challenge, and the possibilities that emerge when we are willing to see things differently.

At the heart of the festival are two of the Philippines’ most distinctive artistic voices, Junyee and Nune Alvarado, who will serve as the festival’s main artists. Joining the festival are the rockstars of Philippine art including Ronald Ventura, Romulo Galicano, Demi Padua, Charlie Co, Randalf Dilla, Dino Gabito, amongst many others.

Their participation reflects the spirit of this year’s festival: to honor the foundations upon which art is built while continuing to ask what else art can become.

For four days, TOPS will come alive with exhibitions, installations, performances, and other artistic experiences. Artists from different disciplines and backgrounds will come together to share their work, their perspectives, and their ways of seeing.

“Some works may feel familiar. Others may challenge what audiences expect art to be. Some may invite quiet reflection, while others may encourage conversation, surprise, or even a little discomfort. And that is part of the point,” says Festival Director Lorenzo Miguel Dino.

“At Tops ArtFest 2026, we believe that art does not have to give us all the answers. Sometimes, it simply gives us a new question. Sometimes, it helps us see something we thought we already knew in an entirely different way,” Dino said.

The festival aims to create a vibrant space for connection, discovery, and exchange, bringing together artists and audiences in celebration of Cebu’s growing and evolving arts community.
