Musical powerhouse Fimone premieres the performance video for her defiant, female empowerment anthem, “Woman” with All Country News. Filmed at Warner Music Nashville with their talented creative team, the powerful protest song and video are driven by Fimone’s impactful vocals and lyrics over a solo electric guitar. The video will also be supported by CMT Music.
“Filming this version of ‘Woman’ felt raw and real, just me, my guitar and the weight of everything this song stands for,” Fimone tells All Country News. “I wanted to strip it down to the truth and let the lyrics speak loud. I’m grateful to share it with a platform that uplifts bold voices in country. This moment, and this message, matter.”
With an influential message sparking important conversations, “Woman” has garnered major industry recognition, including a review in MusicRow’s weekly DISClaimer, an opening slot on WMOT’s Local Brew Hour, and placements on CMT’s The Roundup (#36) and ACM’s Fresh Music Friday (#44). The anthem received coverage and praise from OutFront Magazine, one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ publications, addition to The Q Review’s New Queer Friday playlist and a review by The Women’s International Music Network, which described “Woman” as “a powerful soundtrack for resistance.”
The music video for her previous release, “Walls (For Norma),” a tribute to the late New Orleans madam Norma Wallace, premiered in The Tennessean (read here), adding to Fimone’s growing industry recognition. Fascination also spurred Fimone’s debut TV appearance on WKRN’s Local on 2, and her radio debut with New Orleans’ WWOZ. Fans also got their first look into Fimone’s journey to Nashville when she appeared on the Rooted Recovery Stories podcast (What Actually Saved Me (feat. Fimone) | Rooted Recovery Stories Ep. 188).
