Ika-30 Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video accepting entries until June 8

The Cultural Center of the Philippines, in cooperation with the Cinemalaya Foundation, is now accepting entries to the Ika-30 Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video, the longest-running independent film and video competition in Asia. Deadline for submission is on June 8.

One of the major components of the 14th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, the film competition will harvest the best cinematic works by the country’s most outstanding film and video artists in various categories such as Short Feature/Narrative, Experimental, Documentary and Animation, with special awards on Best Regional Entry and Best Entry On/For/By Children. The competition proper and screenings will be on August 4 to 6, at the CCP Tanghalang Manuel Conde.

All entries in all categories must not exceed 60 minutes, contain only one title, and must have been completed not earlier than May 31, 2017. All works must be strictly independent works and not produced for commercial screening. School-based works (i.e. thesis) are eligible.

The competition is open to all Filipinos. Interested artist is allowed a maximum of three (3) entries in each category, but can only submit in one (1) category. Entries must be submitted not later than 6pm on June 8, 2018 (Friday) at the CCP Film, Broadcast and New Media Division Office (Media Arts Division).

Application form can be downloaded at www.culturalcenter.gov.ph or www.cinemalaya.org. You can also visit the CCP Film, Broadcast and New Media Division Office, 4/F CCP Main Building, CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City during office hours (9:00am to 6:00pm), from Tuesday to Friday.
