PAP1
For this exhibit, the PAP members came up with new works that answer the need to keep printmaking contemporary and to show the vitality of printmaking within contemporary expression. The PAP members worked beyond their noted comfort zones, whether material, size, or topic, and render a print beyond a print, some even making it sculptural and site-specific. But however innovative the work may be, the PAP urged their exhibiting artists to maintain that printmaking still be the primary focus of the works in their Press On exhibition.

The participating artists are: Ambie Abaño with Bea Alcala and Nica Peralejo, Jose Santos Ardivilla, Virgilio Aviado, Mars Bugaoan, BenCab, Salvador, Fildelacruz, Janos Delacruz, Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, Noel El Farol, Jess Flores, Raul Isidro, Eugene Jarque and Mac Valdezco, Lenore RS Lim, Angelo Magno, Fara Manuel-Nolasco, Radel Paredes, Rhoda Recto, Don Salubayba PWU Fine Arts, Benjie Torrado, Wesley Valenzuela, and Anton Villaruel.

There shall be scheduled adjacent events for the exhibit. The first one will be an artist talk by renowned printmaker Virgilio “Pandy” Aviado on 3 December, Tuesday, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. On 23 January 2014, Thursday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM, the PAP will be having a lecture and demonstration. Both activities will be held in the MKP Hall at the 4th floor of the CCP Main Theater Building.
