Davao City-based artist Percy Jane Abian Fuñe is holding an exhibit, ‘Re-Create: Art Without Signature, Vision Without Limits’, that — aside from marking her 50th birthday — is said to be a “celebration of change, observation, and imagination.”
In these pieces, Fuñe is said to present no single signature style; instead, “Re-create stands as both a personal milestone and an artistic statement, an exhibit that reflects her ever-evolving view of the world.”
Known for her refusal to be boxed into a single visual identity, Fuñe “paints what she sees and feels in the moment, transforming everyday encounters into vivid, emotional landscapes, still lifes and abstract compositions. This collection reveals her deep sensitivity to the rhythms of nature and the quiet forces that shape daily life. For her, painting is more than craft; it is recreation — a way to reconnect with wonder and rediscover joy through color and form.”
The exhibit runs until August 2 at The Commons at MTS, Matina Town Square, McArthur Highway, Talomo, Davao City.
