Fifty years ago, the late National Artist for Music Professor Andrea O. Veneracion founded the Philippine Madrigal Singers with a clear vision of a singing Philippines. In 2013, the Madz is at the forefront of the local and international choral scene, as one of the world’s winningest choirs in the world, UNESCO Artists of Peace and the World’s Best Choir (by the BrandLaureate Awards). More importantly, the Madz is instrumental in producing more than 60 choirs all over the world, creating a network of choirs popularly known as the Madz Et. Al.

In Europe, American-born musician Ward Swingle formed the legendary Swingle Singers and since then has become more than just baroque jazz artists but contemporary a cappella phenomenon, with 5 Grammy Award titles to date. For half a century, they have pushed the boundaries of what the human voice can achieve. Their vocal agility and blend, combined with captivating showmanship, have thrilled audiences around the world.
