The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) continues to institutionalize its KAISA SA SINING (KSS) partnership program, a growing network of Regional Art Centers.
Since it was launched in January 2014, the KSS network has already reached a total of twenty six (26) partner organizations all over the country to include St. Louis University Baguio, Barasoain Kalinangan Foundation Inc. Malolos, Batangas City, Vigan City, Diverse Initiatives for Bicolano Artists Naga, Angeles City, Muñoz City-Nueva Ecija, Casa San Miguel-Zambales, Municipality of Sampaloc-Quezon, Sorsogon Community Based Theater Group, Negros Cultural Foundation Bacolod, Central Philippine University Iloilo, Silliman University Dumaguete, Province of Capiz, Holy Name University Tagbilaran-Bohol, Arts Council of Cebu Foundation, Calbayog City, University of Eastern Philippines Catarman, Mindanao State University IIT-Iligan, Consortium of Private University in Cagayan de Oro; Musikahan sa Tagum Foundation, La Salle University Ozamiz, City of Koronadal, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges Gen. Santos, and the Dumendingan Arts Guild Pagadian City.
In the past four years, the cooperation and exchanges between and among CCP and the KSS network have become more dynamic. It is a continuing partnership and collaboration to further enrich, develop and promote arts and culture in the regions and the whole country. It is also intended to increase public participation in the arts, promote artistic excellence and facilitate a vibrant collaboration between and among communities.
Last February 2, 2018 at the CCP Little Theater Lobby, the CCP formalized its cooperation with a new batch of partners and signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the following: Provincial Government of Palawan; Provincial Government of Bulacan; Provincial Government of Pangasinan; City Government of Biñan-Laguna; St. Paul University Tuguegarao; De La Salle University Dasmariñas-Cavite; University of Sto. Tomas Legazpi-Albay; Ateneo de Davao University; City Government of Cotabato; Central Mindanao University Musuan-Bukidnon; and the Western Mindanao State University Zamboanga City.
The key areas of the partnership includes training and apprenticeship, touring and move-over productions, sharing of relevant cultural resource materials, access to arts and cultural information, venues and facilities; and participation in major cultural events. Even with the establishment of regional art centers, the CCP will continue to collaborate with all other organizations in the regions, either on a per program or project basis. The CCP is certain that the regional partnerships will result to the further flourishing of arts and culture in the whole country.
