M2M marks 25th anniversary of best-selling album, ‘Shades of Purple’; releases new EP, ‘Still in my dreams’

Still in my dreams will be released on May 9. M2M will embark on their headlining Asia tour in late April and early May, with stops in the Philippines on May 1 & 2 in Manila, May 3 in Davao, and May 4 in Cebu.

M2M is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their best-selling album Shades of Purple with the release of a brand-new EP, Still in my dreams, where they’ve reimagined their most beloved songs.

Marit Larsen and Marion Raven emphasize that this project isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about exploring what M2M sounds like in 2025. For the duo, the recording process became both a celebration of their catalog and a chance to reconnect, rediscovering how natural it still feels to sing together.

“It’s muscle memory. We’ve been apart for 23 years, but the moment we played these songs again, our voices blended seamlessly. It’s fascinating—on our own, we have very different voices, but together, it’s almost impossible to tell who’s who,” says Marion.

Last fall, M2M surprised fans by appearing online with an acoustic performance of The Day You Went Away. Shortly after, they announced an Asia tour and their first-ever headlining concert in their home country of Norway, set to take place in June.

Don’t Say You Love Me was the first single from Still in my dreams, which features five fan-favorite tracks—the songs streamed most frequently during M2M’s years apart.

“While the fans have been throwing house parties without us, these are the tracks they’ve been spinning. With over a million unique listeners each month, it’s honestly unbelievable,” says Marit.

Marit also produced the EP—at Marion’s request—believing she was the only right person for the job.

“She knows how to honor these songs because we both wrote them and grew up with them. She’s done an incredible job with the production—it feels both fresh and nostalgic,” Marion adds.

For Marit, the project has been a huge vote of confidence. She handpicked some of her favorite musicians and recorded at Mikhael Paskalev’s studio, where he also engineered the EP.

“The result is a party we actually want to attend, and we can’t wait for people to take this EP out into the sunshine in May.”
